About Pixelcode

Pixelcode is a small web design and development studio, based in Athy, Co. Kildare, Ireland.

John Rainsford began working as a freelance web designer and developer in January 2008. After working on numerous projects throughout 2008, he soon realised that he was unable to manage the business and projects as well as work on the projects, so Joyce Byrne joined as business and project manager in January 2009. We then decided to form a new business and create a new business identity.

After going through a torturous process of deciding upon a business name, Pixelcode was chosen (We design in pixels and develop in code).

We produce all the design and coding in-house in our small studio in Athy, Co. Kildare. We do not outsource work to any third party companies, we rely on a network of freelancers to help complete larger projects, on time and on budget.

Side Projects

Pixelcode produced AthyDirectory.com with support from Athy Chamber, to help local businesses and organisations improve their visibility on the web. We designed, developed and currently manage the website.
